About one kilometer mud sedimentation and trash in Cililitan Besar water channel (PHB), Makasar Urban Village, Makasar Sub-district, East Jakarta, were cleaned.
This communal work is done to minimize puddle or even flood
Communal work to clean this water channel was directly lead by East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana.
Residents Asked Residental Street in Rawa Badak Utara Be ElevatedMakasar Urban Village Head, Sumadi, said that PHB channel have five meters wide and about 2 meters depth. It was cleaned by 500 people from Water Resources Sub-dept. personnel, Public Facilities and Infrastructures (PPSU) personnel, and local residents.
"It is to clean mud sedimentation in seven spots along the channel," he said, Sunday (2/19).
According to him, mud sedimentation and trash made water can not flow smoothly.
"This communal work is done to minimize puddle or even flood," he closed.
